Geodesic Dome Wire Bending Jigs - STL Files
These are the 3D printable jigs I designed to make the three-frequency geodesic dome air planter!
Includes four (4) .STL files:
“BCC” wire bending jig (to make triangles that form hexagon panels)
Hexagon panel jig
“BAA” wire bending jig (to make triangles that form pentagon panels)
Pentagon panel jig
“BCC” and “BAA” refers to triangle side lengths as shown here.
These jigs create a dome about 12 inches in diameter, but if each .STL file is scaled by a uniform factor, different sizes of domes can be made.
For my geodesic dome, I used 14 gauge galvanized steel wire (affiliate link).
I used hot glue to attach the triangles , but you could also assemble the dome with brazing, welding, twisted wire, 3D printed connectors, etc.
